By Titan group’s acquiring a majority stake in Tiger Global-backed online jewellery startup CaratLane it is a win win all the way for consumers (who are a wide varied mix).
The target audience for both the brands is totally interchangeable and this will give the brand Caratlane a newer approach and more seriousness in terms of audience.
While Caratlane will be able to reach out to more customers Titan will be able to convert more young and on the go audiences and the myth surrounding Tanishq (and all the sub brands under it) that it is not-so-affordable will soon evaporate.
On the other hand, Caratlane will also gain a newfound trust with the brand backing of the Tata Group.
